Zucchini for the Garden Party

The Garden Party quilt fundraiser will help National Airedale Rescue care and feed for Airedales in need.

Lydia and Dave contribute to the Garden Party blog.
My garden is overflowing with zucchini at this time of year.  You can make several of these cakes and then freeze them.  It's a simple recipe to make, moist, delicious and good for you (well the zucchini part).
Chocolate zucchini cake.(recipe below)

I cut mine in half and wrap separately before freezing, so if I have last minute company I can pull out just what I need.  The cake is better after it sits for a day.
Airedale Dave fell asleep waiting on me to take a photo of the zucchini that was about to get made into cake.  Dave doesn't like zucchini to eat, he's a meat loving boy.

Dave taking a nap and pawfectly holding down the recipe.

If you click the photo--it will size it up for you to read.  that scribble in the middle says--1/2-1 tsp cayenne pepper to spice it up.
and I always use 3/4 cup chips for the  top.

Helping Airedales, it's the right thing to do.

  6. Hey Dave & Lydia:
Pinky says "Wake up" and I'll make the cake. Sounds yummy. We have some extra zuchinni hanging around the house. I like the added cayenne pepper. That's a nice twist! We'll share June Mara's Oatmeal Banana Peanut Butter Cookie recipe w/you. Candy made them for me and I love them! They are my crate treat when she goes out.
